About

Pierre-Yves Machault is a graduate of the Ecole du Louvre. He worked for international galleries specializing in antique carpets and tapestries before opening his company in 2001. He is an expert member of the CNES (Compagnie Nationale des Experts Spécialisés) and the inventor of major discoveries in the history of tapestry (identification of the Dai of Charles VII, identification of a tapestry from Tours…).

His clientele includes museums (Aubusson, Ecouen, Louvre Museum, Museum of Decorative Arts, Mobilier National, Château de Grignan, Museum of the Hospice Comtesse Lille, Musée de la Bâtie d’Urfé…) decorators and private individuals. He assists you in your research in European carpets (Savonnerie, Aubusson rugs, Spanish rugs, art deco rugs, Myrbor artist’s rugs), ancient and modern tapestries, expertise, purchase and sale. He will advise you for cleaning and restoration of your tapestries and carpets.
